NRK opens new Metrology Center – Adds Metrology Expertise

Williamsburg, VA., New River Kinematics Inc. (NRK) a leading portable Metrology software provider
has recently opened a new state-of-the-art facility in Williamsburg, Virginia. The eight acre campus
consists of two custom designed buildings that offer 20,000 sq. ft of space. Included is 6,000 sq. ft.
of lab space specifically dedicated to the continued research and development of the company’s
advanced metrology and production applications including SpatialAnalyzer (SA) software.
NRK co-founder Joe Calkins commented on the importance of the new facility, “This custom facility
creates an ideal environment for continuous improvement of our SpatialAnalyzer product. SA is now
interfaced with over 100 hardware instruments and our new space will allow for many of the leading
portable metrology instruments to be available at all times. We are encouraging all of our partners
whose hardware uses SA to use our lab for customer demonstrations and have already received
positive responses.”

In addition, NRK announces the hiring of three talented individuals as the company continues its
growth of recent years. Richard Nelson with many years of Aerospace industry experience and Todd
Burch, who has significant metrology experience in Ship building will join NRK as Application
Engineers. Also, James Gardner will bring to NRK his considerable experience as a Sales executive.
Over the past decade, Gardner has successfully marketed both metrology hardware and software.

to grow at a rate of over 20% a year, with focus in the markets of Aerospace, Ship building and
