NRK Introduces SA Arm and SA Machine

New River Kinematics Introduces
Portable CMM Arm and Machine Calibration Products

October 1st, 2010--WILLIAMSBURG, VA: New River Kinematics (NRK), the premier provider of advanced portable metrology software, announced today the release of two new products: SA Arm and SA Machine.

SA Arm brings the power of NRK’s SpatialAnalyzer™ to the portable CMM arm workstation with pricing and features tailored specifically for arms.  SA Arm carries with it simplified operation, competitive pricing, and the patent-pending SA ArmPad, which is a unique operator input method that advances portable arm ease-of-use and efficiency.

SA Arm is an aggressively-priced portable arm package that offers a terrific GD&T solution for the marketplace,” NRK Co-Founder Bob Salerno explains.  “We anticipate that arm users will take advantage of the ability to get SA capability at very competitive arm product pricing.”

SA Machine provides all of the benefits of NRK’s SpatialAnalyzer Ultimate + CAD metrology software, but also enables real-time connection to robots and CNC machines.  Using SA Machine’s tight integration of automation devices and metrology instruments, robots and CNC machines can be calibrated and compensated to metrology-level accuracies in real-time.  Kuka™ and ABB™ industrial robots are already supported, with additional support for custom and commercially available automation components planned in the near future.

NRK Co-Founder Joe Calkins is excited about the product’s capabilities.  “With the addition of SA Machine,” he explains, “our goal is to become the clear leader in the integration of metrology with robots and machines.  SA Machine is the perfect tool for this task.”

Both SA Arm and SA Machine will be available worldwide starting October 1st 2010.
